Happy Leap Day with the Movie "Leap Year"

Today on February 29th 2012 is leap year day which only happens every 4 years. This special day offers many yearning ladies the wonderful opportunity to ask their partners for their hand in marriage.

The tales of "leap year day marriage proposal" dates back to 5th century Ireland when St. Bridget complained to St. Patrick about how long women have to wait for a man finally to propose.  So according to romantic legend, St. Patrick agreed that on February 29th this one day every 4 years women could propose.

Movie Synopsis:  When Anna’s (Amy Adams) four-year anniversary to her boyfriend passes without an engagement ring, she decides to take matters into her own hands. Inspired by an Irish tradition that allows women to propose to men on Leap Day, Anna follows Jeremy (Adam Scott) to Dublin to propose to him. But after landing on the wrong side of Ireland, she must enlist the help of the handsome and carefree local Declan (Matthew Goode) to get her across the country. Along the way, they discover that the road to love can take you to very unexpected places.
