Our 7 favorite party appetizers and desserts to celebrate New Year's eve! These pair nicely with wine and will impress your guests on this magical night.
Our Countdown to 7 New Year's eve appetizers and desserts begins here:
A fondue is the ultimate party Fun-do! We added a little wine to the cheese to make this a wine country indulgence. We had our fair share of different fondues in Germany and Switzerland, but this is our winner. Prepare the caramelized onions and the bacon bits ahead and just melt the cheese before the party starts. Pairs nicely with a Pinot Noir or Pinot Meunier.
This terrific tiramisu is a great way to bring in the New Year with elegance. If you don't have the perfect dessert bowls then serve it in martini glasses. This one time Gordon Ramsay could say this is @#*!... delicious! Just a little note: did you know a few years ago we almost made it to "Hell's Kitchen" Show, but because we did not wanted to fight and argue ( at least in front of the camera..) they did not choose us. So Gordon Happy New Year to you too, and if you mellow out in 2012 then do please call us!!!
One serious fancy crostini and with so few ingredients it is easy to prepare. You can replace the beef tenderloin with store bought sliced roast beef if you are short on time. For the perfect pairing try it with a Merlot.
Sweeten the night with tasty Truffles. So simple to make and you can have a variety so it looks like you were in the kitchen all day. Perfect with sweet dessert wines or Champagne and Sparkling wine. We will be counting down the Truffles this year :)
It's not a Martini and it's not a Cosmo, its a Lindtini with White Creme de Cacao and Raspberry flavors. Add a naked truffle for a delightful presentation.
These are just too cute! Yes, there are more ingredients than the other crostinis, but the end result will be worth it. Goes well with a crisp Chardonnay or even your New Year's Champagne.
This is a family favorite and Judit will make these at any opportunity. Corina is not a huge fan of mushrooms, but on this crostini the fresh rosemary makes them bearable. Pairs nicely with a Pinot Noir.
✸ We wish you sparkling champagne bubbles of *joy*! ✸
Have a very happy, healthy and successful New Year!
