On the nose

Why do you smell wine? The aromas or smell of the wine are what actually gives you the flavor of the wine.

You can also call it the "bouquet" of the wine, but that word encompasses a broader spectrum to include chemicals reactions as the wine ages. Aromas change much in the first few months during fermentation and more slowly as the wine ages.

Wine on the nose.

Did you know you get more of the wine flavors from your sense of smell than taste?

The fruity flavors and earthy nuances are detected by your nose while your tongue gets the basic tastes such as salty and sweet.

that is very difficult to me...well, I feel sometimes different flavours, but what they mean I don't understand ... I mean if it is a fruit or floral flavour.
