We are still waiting for the La Nina weather pattern to break. We had some heat a few weeks ago but, like last year the morning fog is not lifting till noon time & the high temps have been in the low to mid 70s... Mid 80s would be nice! The 2011 Crop is generally small, in-fact for us the Trousseau Gris is very low, so the vines don't have a lot to ripen...

I can't wait to try it with Roasted Rosemary Chicken - Meyer Lemon Sauce and Lemon Fingerling Potatoes

The Trousseau is very versatile and pairs with a variety of foods. It event went great with Chicken Pad Thai!

We LOVE Trousseau Gris and Peter Fanucchi Vineyard! Yesterday we filmed our tasting and it was quite exciting because it was the first time we ever had this unique varietal.

Color- Sun kissed Pale Straw
Nose- Flower Bouquet with warm Peaches and it was opening fast
Taste- Peaches, Honeydew Mellon, touch of Herbal notes, Tropical Fruit
Finish - Flowery and fruity with a hint of Citrus and good acidity

Vineyard update from Peter Fanucchi - It's Raining, which is rare for summer here in California's wine Country & something we really don't like! I always wonder how the can stand it in Europe where it more or less rains every week through the summer.

Occasionally we do get some unwelcome Summer Rain in the Sonoma-Napa California wine country. It seems strange so some might say "this never happens". Meteorologist this morning was looking at San Francisco's records for June & says that this year's number of rain days in June, with today's rain, is now tied for third most with the year 1908 but is only a quarter of the way to the record which is still 1888!
