2009 MadFish Premium Red is an easy drinking red blend and we enjoyed equally at summer garden BBQ’s and winter dinners.
A West Australian red blend with ripe fruit flavours and a smoothness that make it an ideal wine for pairing with food. It is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc from three regions of Western Australia. Fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged in French Oak barrels for 8 months. Can benefit from aging 6 to 8 months in the bottle to allow the fruit to come foreward and if stored properly, can age 2 to 5 years for more complexity. Flavors of dark cassis, black cherry, blueberry, and juicy fruit. Has a long finish and elegant tannins.
