Stags Leap

4.0/5 rating (1 votes)

Stags Leap, one of California’s earliest wine estates, a landmark nineteenth century stone winery and Victorian-era manor house and gardens in the heart of Napa Valleys Stags’ Leap District. The essence of world-class terroir, ideal microclimate and traditional winemaking, complex and powerful wines, which show finesse and elegance.

A 240-acre estate, 90 acres of vineyards, 7 miles north of Napa on the valley's eastern side, watershed of the Stags Leap Palisades... wine grapes have grown here continuously since the 1880s.

The Manor House has been the setting for elegant dinner parties, comfortable games of Mah Jongg, idyllic moments of retreat. Built for a family, the stone house always seems most alive when occupied with lively conversation and gregarious bursts of movement. Even the ghost is known to have a taste for the latest fashions and gossip.

Winemaker

Christophe Paubert  - "My pleasure comes not only from the making of exeptional wine, but the fact that making wine involves working with other people. This is natural: wine is part of culture."
